About Down on the Farm
Our History
Down On The Farm was started in 2023. John Rogers, owner of HempRidge Pharms, wanted a festival where you could feel at home. So come on down to the festival. Enjoy some live music, great games, and the Pig Roast on Saturday is included in the ticket price.
Music will be a heavy dose of Blue Grass featuring “The Plate Scrapers” with some Americana and Blues driven Rock and Roll for good Measure.
HempRidge Pharms
HempRidge Pharms is a 200 plus acre all organic farm located in New Creek WV. The location feature an array of fauna and wildlife, and sweeping views across the foothill of West Virginia.
John also offers free spring water available to all patrons. So get a ticket and pack your tent for an incredible weekend of live music and country living!

BASIC RULES DOWN ON THE FARM
Down on the Farm Music Venue Conduct Policies
- No Fires or open flames of any kind. A fire will be provided in the main area, but personal fires will not be permitted. If you are caught with a fire or open flame you will be asked to leave the event. It has been extremely dry this year, please keep the farm from catching ablaze.
- No underage drinking or drug use permitted.
- No dogs or pets allowed. The only animals at the event will be those already on the farm.
- No entering any of the farm buildings at anytime.
- Stay off any and all farm equipment.
- No entering the field with cattle. If you have to climb a fence you shouldn’t be there. Cows may look harmless but they are large animals very capable of causing injury.
- Please leave all farm animals be.
- Please respect the privacy of John and Jenny’s house. They have been kind enough to host this amazing event, remember that it is their home. If you see others going in they have already received permission to do so.
- If you decide to do any exploration of the property, please stick to the areas designated on the map.
- Vehicle will only be driven on the way to and from your campsite. There will be space to park where you camp.
- For your own safety staying away from tall grass during the summer months is a good idea. It’s a bad tick year, snakes and other wild animals can be a problem, it’s always best to stay safe.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS BY PURCHASING A TICKET TO Down on the Farm Music Festival (herein after referred to as "The Releasees"), I, (HEREIN AFTER REFERRED TO AS "THE PARTICIPANT") UNDERSTAND THAT I AM WAIVING CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE. Down on the Farm Music Festival is a music festival held Aug 30th - Sept 2nd at HempRidge Farms 642 Justin Turner Road, and is organized by its members, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, and independent contractors.
In consideration of the Down on the Farm Music Festival Organizers permitting the Participant's attendance at Down on the Farm Music Festival, the Participant waives any and all claims that the Participant has or may in the future have against, and release from all liability and agree not to sue, Down on the Farm Music Festival Organizers and associated property ("Premises") owned by Camp John Rogers, as well as other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, or advertisers for any claims of personal injury, death, property damage or other loss that the Participant sustains during or as a result of Down on the Farm Music Festival due to any cause whatsoever. The Participant is aware that participating/volunteering in Down on the Farm Music Festival has many inherent risks.
-I recognize and acknowledge that there are hazards and risks of physical injury or illness to Event attendees and that not all such hazards or risks can be fully eliminated. I freely and voluntarily agree to assume the full risk of death, bodily injury or property damage, regardless of severity, that I (or my child/ward) may sustain as a result of my attendance at the Event, whether or not caused by the negligence or gross negligence of the Releasees.
-I indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any loss, liability, damage or cost they may incur while I am at the Event or on the Premises, whether or not caused by the negligence or gross negligence of the Releasees.
-I release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue the Releasees from all liability to me, my personal representatives, assigns, heirs and next of kin, for any claims, causes of action, obligations, lawsuits, charges, complaints, controversies, damages, costs or expenses of whatsoever kind, nature, or description, whether direct or indirect, in law or in equity, in contract or in tort, or otherwise, whether known or unknown, arising out of or connected with my (or my child's/ward's) attendance at the Event or while on the Premises, whether or not caused by the negligence or gross negligence of the Releasees.
